Hubs and I marked another national park off of our list recently! We took a trip to Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky. It was a really nice little weekend trip for us and didn’t cost us much (which was exciting, as we are saving for our big trip later this year). I wanted to share some photos and insight on our trip. It was a great weekend getaway, we learned a lot, and the views were so lovely!Read More
I hope you all are having a wonderful week. I am certainly enjoying the longer days and the scent of magnolia in the air. There’s something about Spring that makes me want to refresh everything. From my desk at work to my home decor and especially my wardrobe. The good news is, I can do that without breaking the bank by shopping at my local thrift stores and consignment shops. And, as you know from my first post in this series, buying used clothing is better for our planet for so many reasons!
I have been an avid thrifter for nearly a decade now. I’m all about the thrill of the hunt and I love finding unique pieces (classic enneagram 4). Most of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe came from a thrift store. Here are a few of those favorites.
Person: “Oh my gosh, I love that dress.”
Me: “Thanks, I got it secondhand”
- A conversation I have had many times.
If you know me or follow me on Instagram, you’ve heard me go on and on about my passion for thrift stores. I get all kinds of things from the thrift store from my wardrobe to my home decor, but to start this series, I want to talk about clothing.
“But I can just go to the mall and get a NEW shirt for $8”
Sure. But there’s a lot more to the story than you getting a good deal on that shirt.
A few days ago, I polled my instagram following about content they would like to see. “The Supplements I Take Every Day” was a clear winner! I have been working on a more natural, holistic approach to my health for several years now, which is why I was interested in figuring out which supplements would help me live my best life. It’s important to note that everyone is different. What works for me, may not work for you. However, I have spent hours and hours researching and working with my doctor to figure out what my body needs. It took me such a long time and I hope my suggestions below can help you save some time and start feeling your best.Read More
I’ve been MIA for a few weeks now, but for a good reason. I was gearing up for the Spring Country Pasture Sale! It was such a wonderful time, reconnecting with vendor friends, meeting new people, and sharing a love of vintage with so many! The Pasture Sale happens twice a year (once in the fall and once in the spring) in Newnan, GA. The people who make it happen are the best, the vendors are amazing, and the food trucks are top notch! Plus, they let visitors bring their dog. I got to meet sooo many pup friends! This sale was one of the best ones I have been a part of and I am so grateful for this experience.Read More
