If you have been following along on Instagram then you probably already know why I’ve been a little quiet on the blog lately. Last week, Powell & Co. participated in the Gypsy Junkers Fall Pasture Sale. It’s a really cool event that’s a kind of a mix between a craft fair and a vintage market. It was such a wonderful experience. The weather was perfect, the logistics of the sale were planned perfectly, and everyone was so nice. Few things make me happier than meeting fellow vintage, antique, and handmade enthusiasts, and they were plentiful this weekend!

Fear. Something that’s been a constant in my life ever since I can remember. Honestly, I have been an anxious, worrisome gal since the beginning. I missed out on a lot of fun and opportunities because of it. One day, when we were young, my best friend and I went to Six Flags. I didn’t want to get on any of the rides because I was terrified of heights. I just kept imagining what would happen if the ride broke or if I wasn’t strapped in correctly and it freaked me out! If you know my best friend, you know that she did not stand for that for one second. She forced me to get on the Georgia Scorcher and.. I LOVED it. I felt silly afterward for being so afraid. It was such an exhilarating experience, why had I been denying myself that pleasure up until that point?

spring vintage market | powell & co.

Last weekend, J and I loaded up the trucks and went to our first vintage market of the year. It was a wonderful time! I love doing markets because meeting and connecting with the other vendors is so inspiring and I always learn something. This one was no exception! It was a beautiful spring day to be in the sun, enjoying the scenery and sharing my passion for vintage with customers.
